Back to the grind...

I can't believe that my maternity is over and I am back to work. It hasn't been too bad this week, but I must say this is the LONGEST week ever! The one thing that makes going back OK is the fact that I know my boys are in the best hands. (probably better off than when they are with me!)

I had a great time with the boys! I was a nervous wreck my first couple days, but I made it and we ended up having a blast! We went to my mom and dads a couple times and we made many trips to Target! Which is one of the reasons that I have to go back to work...Isaac LOVES to shop.

So for now it is back to work for me...

And baby makes four....

Wow! It has been a while since I have updated, and boy has a lot happened! I am sure that you already know, but just in case Alexander Charles has arrived!

He made his debut earlier than planned(that never happens in our family) so of course I wasn't ready! I had gone to the doctor on the Friday before and she said that I was no where near being ready so I just went on with my normal procrastinating ways. I knew I had until the next Friday to get my bags packed and arrange for some one to take care of the pets. Imagine my surprise when on Tuesday I didn't feel well, and I went to try to get comfortable (nearly impossible at 40 weeks) and there is a big kick and then uh oh! My water broke!! Long story short four hours later....

Isaac thinks his baby brother is "awesome". He runs in every morning to make sure that he is still here and he has to snuggle him!

We are super happy and exhausted, like all parents know, but it is all worth it!

My Monkey is Two!

Yesterday was Isaac's actual birthday so Steve and I took the day off work and we made it a Family Fun Day! (I kinda took the day off) We started the day off with me going in to work for just a couple of hours while Steve and the boy sat at home and ate junk food! When I got home we hopped in the car and headed to the Boonshoft Museum. It was supposed to rain all day so the zoo plans were canceled! When we got to the museum it was almost empty so we had a great time and Isaac could spend as much time as he wanted at the exhibits. Like the recycle truck!

After a few hours there we headed to Chuckie Cheese for some game time and pizza. This was his first time on any kind of ride so I wasn't exactly sure how it would go.. It went perfectly! He loved it! Especially the "clock" rind that just went in a big circle!

After we left there we headed home for some presents and cake! I made him the Elmo cake that he asked for...

And this is how the evening progressed...

I can't wait until the party on Saturday when he will have his friends and family with him and a SNOOPY cake!

I can't believe it!

It was two years ago today that my little monkey decided, well was forced, to officially join our family! He was actually due on the 5th, but wasn't even thinking about coming along so we were induced on the 7th! Of course I was late getting to the hospital, 5 am is really early! After we got there they started the Pitocin and around 2:00 this is who we got to meet!

Happy Birthday Little Man!

*This was written after the WORST night that we have ever had! Apparently at 2 you are allowed to stay up all night!

Bad Hair update

Luckily for me; my babysitter is an aspiring hair stylist! When I dropped Issac off at her house this morning she said, "Awe, his hair isn't that bad!" (in her cute southern accent) After I get to work she calls her husband and asks him to ask me if I want her to "clean up" Isaac's hair a bit. (her hubby and I work together). I told her to go ahead and then she sends me these!

I can't believe how "grown-up he looks!

So Here goes... My first "official" blog! I have been trying to think if I had anything worth typing, but now I do... I gave Issac his first home haircut last night! Here is how it started.. I went to get my hair cut right before Christmas and was chatting with the gal about cutting Isaac's hair. Her comment was...DON'T DO IT! I asked her how hard could it be. Nothing fancy; just a fade on the sides and a little off the top. She again says DO NOT DO IT but if I am to at least wait until after the holidays so this wouldn't be the Christmas that mom gave me a haircut. So, I took him to Cookie Cutters and had it done.

Well, jump forward to last night.. It is about 6:15ish and I decide that I am going to break out the clippers that I bought before Christmas and I am going to do it. Seriously how hard could it be??
Well, I will tell you... IMPOSSIBLE!! Here is a screen shot of the video that I sent to my mom, who I am sure is horrified now! Please keep in mind that these will probably be the only pictures seen of Issac in the next few months without a hat on. He even wore a baseball hat today to Steve's moms house!

Oh, well! Maybe I can get a deal with the Cookie Cutter franchise if they use him as the Before picture!
Sorry Buddy!
